Choose Leadership, Experience & Accountability for Our Kids

Please vote for Barksdale, Ruffin, Hollis, and Westbrook for Plainfield Board of Education on Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Two years ago I ran for a seat on the Plainfield School Board under the banner “Estevez for Change – Better Schools – Stable Taxes”. Since my election I have been fortunate to be a part of the many positive changes taking place in our public schools, including:

• National Search and Selection of New Superintendent

• Grade Reconfiguration (Changed elementary schools from K-5 configuration to K-6 and K-8 configurations)

• Creation of the new Plainfield Academy for the Arts and Advanced Studies

These are only a few of the most visible changes taking place in our public schools. Many more changes are taking place at every level of our school district. Most of these changes have already begun to improve the educational experience of our children.

In order to continue to make these changes we need to elect individuals to the Board of Education that share the belief that our children can learn at the highest levels and that it is our responsibility as the adults in this community to work together toward providing them with a safe and productive learning environment. That is why I am supporting the team of Barksdale, Ruffin, Hollis and Westbrook for election to the Plainfield Board of Education. Each individual on this team has a strong track record of community service and activism on behalf of our children.

Plainfield schools need strong leadership to make great things happen for our children. Please be a part of making our schools better for all of our children by voting for Patricia I. Barksdale, Joseph M. Ruffin, Joanne Hollis, and Tammy Westbrook on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009.

Polls are open between 2pm and 9pm.
